Introduction

ProActive Psychological Services offers your organisation a highly professional service. All of our Psychologists have at least a Masters in Counselling, Clinical or Forensic Psychology and are full members of the Australian Psychological Society. Our Principal Chris Probets is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society's College of Organisational Psychologists.

Because we have such a diverse and specialised team, we are able to provide assistance in a wide range of areas of psychology. We also have contractors who can be called upon at short notice to assist. Critical Incident Debriefing for workplace traumatic events

We have many years of experience in handling traumatic events for a wide range of corporations ranging from major multinationals down to small businesses. While these are most effective when carried out a day or two following the traumatic incident, we can arrange early intervention if needed.

Risk Management Assessment of staff during retrenchment

We have been involved with risk management of staff during retrenchments and this has has involved assessment of staff for those who need counselling, categorising staff into low, medium and high risk categories, carrying out both crisis counselling and, where needed and requested, longer-term counselling for those at high risk.

While recruiting and keeping the best staff is essential for any business, in some businesses inappropriate or risk-taking staff can be extremely expensive. Assessment of potential recruits or current employees or both can greatly decrease your costs and problems.

Counselling and treatment for troubled and troublesome employees

We carry out a lot of counselling for employees who have run into a personal problem that they have trouble dealing with. This is very useful for your organisation as it can help a troubled and therefore low-performing employee to resolve their problem and increase their performance. Employees who are causing trouble for the corporation can also be referred for our assistance. We also run training courses for management and human resources staff on skills for carrying out staff counselling in the workplace.

Anger Management Personal Training

The Anger Management Program is a 12-module individual course of treatment and each of these modules are conducted on a one-on-one basis. This course involves a combination of highly structured Psychoeducation, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy techniques, and with motivational techniques and exercises designed for intensive training of new attitudes, thought patterns and behaviours.

Interpersonal conflict, including assertiveness training

When there is conflict between personnel in the organisation this is usually most effectively and efficiently resolved by conflict resolution training. This can be carried out in your workplace. This can also be carried out as an individual program for one or more employees that require it in order to make it more personalised and convenient than a general staff training program.
