About Us
ProActive Psychological Services has been established for over 20 years and operates in both Parramatta and Penrith. As a group practice we are dedicated to providing the very best of services to all our clients and therefore the only employ the very best psychologists.
Our practice guarantees you a highly professional service. All of our Psychologists have a Masters in Counselling or Clinical Psychology and are full members of the Australian Psychological Society. While psychologists do not need to have a masters degree in order to work in a private practice, a masters degree is a key element in becoming a professional psychologist able to work independently while drawing on a very high standard of training and supervised experience.
In addition to our Masters training, which focuses on general therapy and provides much of the practical treatment-based training required to be an effective therapist, each of our psychologists has specialised interests, experience and training over and above that.
ProActive Psychological Services provides a very wide range of individual, group and specialist services to individuals, corporate clients, clients of solicitors etc. As many of our clients are also referred by medical practitioners we also have a webpage dedicated to giving information to referring doctors explaining our services.
While our services include all of the main areas of clinical and counselling psychology, we are also possibly providing a wide range of special services particularly to the corporate and legal areas. These range across a wide range of services to corporations, and forensic services for solicitors and their clients facing criminal charges and traffic matters. We also provide specialist services to individuals including driver's licence difficulties, gun licence problems, immigration issues and a specialist anger management training program.
While these services are all detailed under the headings of Personal Services, Corporate Services, Solicitor Services and Doctors, many of our services are designed to assist people to develop their lifestyle, their level of success in many areas of their life including their career and financial success, and to develop personal skills in areas such as emotional control, communication skills, and other areas of life development. Individual services
We provide counselling, assessment and reporting services for individuals with personal psychological problems. We also provide individual training including anger management training and personal training through Aptitude Personal Training.
Corporate services
We provide specialist crisis services for corporations including Critical Incident Debriefing, retrenchment counselling and risk assessment. As well as follow-up counselling from these services we also carry out counselling of individuals who are experiencing difficulties or with whom the organisation is experiencing difficulty.
Staff and personal development services
We provide a wide range of specialist services for corporations including staff assessment for recruitment, promotion and training, executive coaching and personal coaching for the corporation's staff members, and training in several areas of problem resolution and development of staff. These are carried out through Aptitude Personal Training.
Forensic services
Forensic services for solicitors and their clients including assessment and reports for the court in criminal and other matters, and specialist courses to assist people with problems and issues that are leading to offending behaviour.
