Information for Doctors

As a comprehensive group practice we are able to provide services over and above those provided by sole practitioners as each of our psychologists have specific training, expertise and interest in specialised areas. When you refer a patient to ProActive Psychological Services we will always allocate them to the most suitable practitioner, but if you prefer, you can of course nominate a specific practitioner, as we all have generalist training and work over most areas.

The advantages that this provides is that it enables us to offer a more specialised level of care to more complex patients than can be provided by a sole practitioner. Please refer to the Our Team page for the particular skills and expertise provided by each of our Psychologists. This could be a particularly useful reference list for you to keep and utilise at those times when you wish to refer the patient to our practice.

Overall, our practice has the advantage of a team all of whom have been carefully selected on the grounds of their personality, training, experience and expertise. We also have the advantage of having a much wider range of areas of expertise than would normally be found in any one practice. This allows us to assist you much more effectively and expertly. These include psychologists with specific interest and expertise in diverse areas as such as neuropsychological assessment, assessment and treatment of compensation matters, and assessment, reports and treatment of criminal and traffic offenders.

For referring Doctors we take pride in providing prompt appointments, prompt reports on our assessment and treatment program and regular feedback on the patient's progress. We are a psychological practice that is always contactable and happy to discuss any issues with you at any time.
