Now our new systematic tracking service will give you a stress-free, worry-free and prompt criminal forensic report…

As psychologists running a busy practice we understand only too well the problems you have in chasing up clients, trying to collect fees for reports, making appointments, wondering whether or not the client has attended the appointment, and waiting for the report. The aim of our practice is to carry out the work as promptly, efficiently and effectively as possible and to fully manage the process at all times. This means that you will be free to do the more technical work relating to the matter, rather than getting tied up in administration.

We know you are busy so use our practice to get the job done well and reduce your stress in the process by simply calling our office and providing us with:—

  • The client's details including their phone number.
  • The offence(s) for which they have been charged and/or convicted.
  • Copies of the charge sheet and the police facts sheet if available.
  • Information on whether the client has pleaded guilty to any or all charges.
  • The hearing date and the date you require the report to ensure that it will be prioritised appropriately.

Following your call we guarantee to carry out all of the work needed to provide you with the criminal forensic report.

  • We will call the client and arrange an appointment that is mutually convenient and which gives us sufficient time to get the report to you promptly.
  • We will notify you immediately that contact has been made including the date of the appointment.
  • We will handle the account including arrangements for payment from the client at the time of the assessment interview, and split payments if necessary.
  • If there are any delays, or if the client does not turn up for their appointment, we will notify you in order to keep you informed.
  • If the client does not attend their appointment we will contact them and attempt to make alternative arrangements and we will notify you of the outcome.
  • We will write the report and have it posted to you within five working days unless delays beyond our control arise.
  • On the date the report is being posted we will notify you so that you can expect to receive it the following day.

Overall we will keep you informed every step of the way by fax or e-mail so that you can manage your deadlines more effectively and with less effort. You will be kept fully informed of progress, delays, problems and the date of receipt of the report. This leaves you to do the legal work involved in the case instead of spending your time chasing up the client and/or the psychologist. We will keep on top of all aspects of the psychological report process so that you do not have to!

We provide comprehensive and accurate assessments

All of our assessments involve a comprehensive semi-structured clinical/forensic interview, as well as the administration of a range of appropriate psychometric instruments to ensure that our reports are credible, reliable, honest and fair. We constantly update our assessments in order to take advantage of the most useful and appropriate assessments currently available. We also keep our skills updated to ensure that we keep abreast of the latest developments in all of the areas in which we practice.

We offer treatment for your client

As well as providing assessments and preparing reports, we offer treatment for clients involved with the criminal justice or compensation court systems, focusing on underlying factors hindering rehabilitation or contributing to offending behaviour. For those facing criminal charges this treatment is also aimed at changing attitudes and behaviours and/or gaining a greater level of emotional control. Obviously this may then assist them with their current court case as well as reducing their chances of recidivism.

Over the past 25 years I have specialised in assessment and reports for injury, criminal and immigration matters and written approximately 4000 psycho-legal reports, given expert testimony in court proceedings in both personal injury and criminal matters, and I have been involved in the treatment of people with offending behaviour. I also have extensive experience with a wide range of criminal/forensic matters and traffic matters including drink driving, habitual driving offenders, shoplifting, fraud, assault, domestic violence and murder. My experience also includes the less mainstream areas such as failure to lodge tax returns, suitability for a firearms licence and applications to reinstate a drivers licence following suspension for a psychological disorder.

If you would like a high-quality report, without the hassle, please contact us on 96351166 or 47222600. Please feel free to call us at any time to discuss your client's needs and/or to find out more about our forensic services and other ways in which we can assist you.

Anger Management

The Anger Management course is a 12-module individual course of treatment and each of these modules are conducted over a period of one hour and each of these is conducted on a one-on-one basis.

This course involves a combination of highly structured Psychoeducation, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy techniques, combined with motivational techniques and exercises designed for intensive training of new attitudes, thought patterns and behaviours.

The aim of the course is to enable the person to know how to control their anger and to have the necessary skills and practice to be able to put this into action. This is reinforced by exercises that are designed to increase the person's level of motivation, there awareness of alternative strategies, and the skills to put all of these into practice.

The course includes several methods of control of anger and each of these interact with each of the others to make a comprehensive and effective, yet individualised, planned pattern of behaviour. The person is assisted to design their own plan of action that they can undertake to reduce their tendency to become angry and to control it if it happens. It also includes skills such as assertiveness training and building relationships that are designed to reduce the likelihood of anger and to develop the person's environment to make it more conducive to the resolution of issues that may lead to anger.

This course is useful for angry and aggressive employees and people facing charges of assault and/or who have a court order to attend an anger management course. If the person needs it we will also supply a letter to their Solicitor for their sentencing or to satisfy the conditions of their sentence.
