All of our psychologists are experienced, masters-trained practitioners who treat a wide range of psychological issues. As a large group practice our psychologists are also able to develop their areas of special interest through ongoing professional development, education and skills training.
Chris Probets
Chris Probets has expertise in the areas of compensation, rehabilitation and forensic psychology. He has had many years of experience in both the assessment and treatment aspects of forensic psychology, and he understands the psycho-legal requirements of both criminal and compensation law. He is accredited as a WorkCover treatment provider. Chris is also interested in organisational issues including critical incident debriefing, risk assessment, staff training, personal training and executive coaching, utilising both individual and group approaches. Chris has a masters degree in counselling psychology, and has specialist endorsement as both a forensic and counselling psychologist.
Karen Edwards
Karen Edwards has extensive experience working with children and adolescents, particularly in the areas of anxiety, depression, trauma and behaviour management. Her ability to engage young people and their parents allows for a collaborative approach, and her use of individual and family therapy sessions provides positive outcomes for both children and parents alike. Karen also has an interest in working with adult clients with mood, anxiety and adjustment disorders, focusing on psycho-education and skills training to ensure effective treatment and long-term symptom management. Karen has a masters degree in clinical psychology, and has specialist endorsement as a clinical psychologist.
Ivan Bakich
Ivan Bakich has a particular interest in assessing and treating complex mental health problems including personality disorders, neuropsychological injuries and complex trauma. His approach includes formal psychometric testing of intellectual ability, personality traits and neuropsychological functioning to ensure a clear diagnosis and appropriate intervention. He is accredited as a WorkCover treatment provider. Ivan has masters degrees in both clinical and counselling psychology, and has specialist endorsement as both a clinical and counselling psychologist.
Linda Thornley
Linda Thornley has a special interest in grief and bereavement, relationship building and personal growth counselling. She is also experienced in the areas of disability and adjustment, relationship breakdown, lifespan changes associated with ageing, and coping with change. Linda utilises holistic healing in her approach to treatment, incorporating hypnotherapy, relaxation and meditation sessions into counselling. Linda has a masters degree in counselling psychology.
Gareth Dawes
Gareth Dawes has significant experience working with substance use disorders and adult addictions. He is also interested in complex mental health disorders, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, psychopathy, and trauma. He is accredited as a WorkCover treatment provider. In his forensic practice Gareth is experienced in the provision of psycho-legal assessments and Court reports for criminal matters, child custody cases, victims' compensation matters, and WorkCover and third party claims. Gareth has masters degrees in both clinical and forensic psychology, and has specialist endorsement as a clinical psychologist.
Michelle Tremain
Michelle Tremain has extensive experience providing psychological services to a varied client group, including adults, adolescents, families, and children. Her experience covers a very wide variety of presenting problems including mood and anxiety disorders, somatisation disorders, child behaviour problems, personality disorders, acute and chronic pain, eating disorders, and trauma. Michelle utilises a variety of therapeutic modalities in her work including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, EMDR, systemic family therapy, play therapy and relationship counselling. Michelle has a masters degree in clinical psychology, and has specialist endorsement as a clinical psychologist.
